Julie Marie Pacheco

Julie Marie Pacheco (nee Behrends) age 66 passed away peacefully at home February 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born August 17, 1956, at St. Anne’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. Julie was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2022. She faced the disease with courage and hope and met every challenge head on. Her strength and determination was an inspiration to everyone around her. Julie grew up with her family in Oak Park, IL. In her late teens her family moved to Addison, IL., where she lived for several years. After marriage to her husband Eduardo "Ed" and having two children they eventually settled in Romeoville, IL in 1990. Julie enjoyed attending the Queen of Hearts raffle at Fat Ricky’s with her husband "Ed". And most of all spending time with her grandchildren and her dog "Saydee" that she loved dearly. Julie enjoyed long talks with her sisters, Nancy & Kathy, as well as her daughter-in-law Felicia. She loved cheering for the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. She was also an avid reader. Julie had the biggest heart, she treated everyone as if they were family. She is preceded in death by her parents: John Joseph "Jack" and Nancy Mary (nee O'Connor) Behrends; two brothers: John and Michael Behrends. Julie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Eduardo Jr. "Ed"; children: Eduardo III "Ed" and Daniel "Dan"; grandchildren: Edwyn and Aria Pacheco; one step granddaughter: Jenna Tomaras; siblings: Nancy (Ken) Sisk, Kathy (Hans) Prather, Mark (Mary Ann) and Jim (late Julie) Behrends, also her beloved dog "Saydee", numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Julie had so much love to give and will be deeply missed and loved forever. The family would like to thank Lightways for its immense support in the last several weeks of Julie’s life as well as their ongoing emotional support to the family. Per Julie's wishes cremation rites were accorded. A celebration of life will be held at Fat Ricky’s in Romeoville (Rt.53), Sunday March 5th, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service celebrating Julie's life which will begin at 5:00 p.m. At that time, music, words of remembrance and times of reflection will be shared. The family has requested that guests arrive as if they are coming to hang out with Julie just as she would want. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie’s name as gifts to the family for their distribution.
