Keffear Bernard Clayborn

Keffear Bernard Claiborne was born December 24th 1967 in Memphis Tennessee to Annie and William Clayborn Sr. He was the eighth of ten children and confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life. Keffear grew up in Memphis Tennessee where he went to elementary and middle school. Growing up he loved fixing things and being helpful around the house. He relocated with his family to Illinois in 1979 and attended Romeoville High school. At an adult age he fathered two children, Tenasia and Jalen they will best remember him for his Love, kindness and the compassion he showed through his cooking. Keffear loved working on cars and enjoyed the race car track. He worked for the last 13 years as an oil technician at Jiffy Lube in Carol Stream Illinois. His coworkers will remember him for being a hard worker and a very responsible person. His closest friends were EBay and Lionel Evans. They were amazed with his cooking and ability to work on cars. His sister Regina best remembers him for when her car broke down in a store snowstorm and it was going to take 3 hours before she could get help. So she called Keffear he dropped what he was doing, came to her rescue in the snow storm to get her and the car home safely without hesitation. He was always there for Regina when she needed him. She will remember him as very caring person and always willing to help anyone. Keffear was not only her brother but her friend and she will miss him dearly. Keffear will be known for his ability to work on cars, being a race car fan, cooking, grilling, entertaining family and friends. He was a fun loving Father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His favorite saying was “we should be helpers of one another”. He would want to say goodbye by just remembering the good times we shared with him. Keffear Bernard Clayborn was called home on Sunday January 17th 2016 at; Joliet Area Hospice Home with family by his side. He is preceded in death by his brother; Jerome Clayborn and his father; William Clayborn Sr. Keffear Bernard Clayborn leaves to mourn his two children; Tenasia and Jalen Rose-Clayborn, two grandchildren Joshua Robinson-Rose and Janaya Robinson, his mother; Annie Lee Claiborne (nee Archie) his siblings; Marvin E., Michael A., Regina L., William Jr., Walter A., Tanaya R., Sonia D Claiborne and Leshia M. Stewart. Also he leaves behind a host of relatives and friends that will join in this period of mourn with the Clayborn family. The Bible declares: to everything there is a season, a time to every purpose under the heaven, a time to be born and a time to die.
