Mary L. Frausto May 13, 1931 - December 10, 2022 Joliet, Illinois | Age 91 Mary Lucielle Frausto Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the age of 91. She is the daughter of Helen Cerna and Eulalio Delgado & was born on May 13, 1931 in Lorenzo, Illinois. Mary was a beloved Mother, Grandma, Great-grandmother & volunteer. Mary worked and cared for others all her life. Apart from working several jobs & for various nursing homes she selflessly donated her time and volunteered. She was a member of the Forster Grandparents program for more than 10 years. She was also very proud to be a volunteer member for Catholic Charities and was a long time parishioner of St. Mary’s Carmelite Catholic; after its closing she would eventually join & love attending services at Sacred Heart Church in Joliet. Her deep faith in God always gave her the support and strength to never give up. One thing Mary always wanted for her family was for them to be educated and go to school and also that they would take the time to pray. Mary loved and was very proud of her family. She looked forward to family meals. Los Comales restaurant and the gorditas from the Martinez grocery store were always her chosen favorites. She truly loved to enjoy time spent together with her loved ones doing the things that she cherished the most. She will be deeply missed by all blessed to have known her. Preceded in her death by her oldest son, Salvador Ramirez. Also by her parents, Eulalio Delgado & Guadalupe (Serna) Delgado; her brothers & sisters: Chrissy Serna, Amador Delgado, Frank Delgado Sr., Helen Moncado, Angelina “Angie” Ruiz and Cruz “Margie” Pizano Delgado. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her children: Joseph “Joe” Delgado Sr. (Estela), Joseph “Eli” Valerio Sr. (Claudia), Kathleen “Kathy” Moncado Salazar, and Christine “Chevy” Rodriguez., and by her sister, Anita “Annie” (Modesto) Leal, & numerous nieces, nephews, 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved so much. A celebration of life to honor & celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, visiting hours will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Tuesday, December 20, 2022 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Delgado Funeral Chapel located at 400 Landau Ave. at Jackson St (RT.6) Joliet, Illinois 60432. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 11:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 337 S Ottawa Street. Cremation rites will are to be accorded & her ashes will be laid to rest at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Joliet, Illinois 60432.
