Maria C. Gutierrez, “Macui”,was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the age of 100. Maria was born on April 29, 1925, in La Tinaja de Pastores, Guanajuato, Mexico, and then became a permanent United States resident living in Joliet for most her life. Maria lived a long life filled with love, purpose, and unwavering faith. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Nicolas Gutierrez, and her children: Rafael Gutierrez, Raul Gutierrez, Hector Gutierrez, Cecilia Gutierrez, and Maria Gutierrez. The love she carried for them never faded, and now her spirit is gently welcomed home by those she missed so deeply. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose quiet strength shaped the lives of those around her. She found joy in cooking, caring for her grandchildren, and living out her faith through daily prayer and church. She treasured her simple pleasures such as watching Clint Eastwood Westerns, enjoying her sweets, classic Coca-Cola, and keeping her home filled with comfort and welcome. Maria is survived by her children Josefina (Late Salvador) Ramirez, Nicolas Gutierrez (Late Sherri), Jaime (Rosa) Gutierrez, Marcela (Richard) Malmfeldt, Jose (Elvia) Gutierrez, and Beto (Elaine) Gutierrez. Survived by grandkids Vanessa, Nicolas, Jessica, Isabel, Ximena, Rafael, Diego, Jaime, Alonso, Maria Cruz, Miguel (Gutierrez), Janeth (Lalo Torres), Guilliana (Alex) Moreno, Ricky Malmfeldt, Salvador (Nelly), Francisco, Hernan (Alicia) Ramirez, and numerous great- grandchildren. Maria embodied love, resilience, and devotion. She worked tirelessly for her family, offering compassion without ever asking for anything in return. Her laughter filled every room with light, and her presence offered peace to those around her. She faced life with courage and strong faith in the Lord, guiding her children and grandchildren with patience and grace. Though she is no longer with us, the warmth she shared and the lessons she taught will live in the hearts of all who loved her. María C. María nació el 29 de abril de 1925 en La Tinaja de Pastores, Guanajuato, México, y luego se convirtió en residente permanente de los Estados Unidos y vivió en Joliet durante la mayor parte de su vida. María vivió una larga vida llena de amor, propósito y ella mantuvo su fe en Dios sobre todo. Ahora está reunida en el Cielo con su amado esposo, Nicolás Gutiérrez, y sus hijos: Rafael Gutiérrez, Raúl Gutiérrez, Héctor Gutiérrez, Cecilia Gutiérrez y María Gutiérrez. El amor que sentía por ellos nunca se desvaneció, y ahora su espíritu es recibido gentilmente en casa por aquellos a quienes extrañaba tan profundamente. María fue una esposa, madre y abuela devota cuya fuerza silenciosa moldeó las vidas de quienes la rodeaban. Le sobreviven sus nietos Vanessa, Nicolás, Jessica, Isabel, Ximena, Rafael, Diego, Jaime, Alonso, María Cruz, Miguel (Gutiérrez), Janeth (Lalo Torres), Guilliana (Alex) Moreno, Ricky Malmfeldt, Salvador (Nelly), Francisco, Hernán (Alicia) Ramírez y numerosos bisnietos. María encarnaba el amor, la resiliencia y la devoción. Trabajó incansablemente por su familia, ofreciendo compasión sin pedir nada a cambio. Su risa llenó de luz todas las habitaciones y su presencia ofreció paz a quienes la rodeaban. Enfrentó la vida con valentía y fe firme en el Señor, guiando a sus hijos y nietos con paciencia y gracia. Aunque ya no está con nosotros, la calidez que compartió y las lecciones que enseñó vivirán en los corazones de todos los que la amaron.
