Julian Duenas

It is with a heavy heart that the Dueñas family announce the passing of Julian “El Cucuy” “El Coronas” Dueñas. He passed away on April 28, 2024, in Chicago, IL. Julian was born on November 24th, 1966 in El Salvador, the youngest of 14 siblings. From an early age Julian was playful, lighthearted and carefree. In 1985, Julian immigrated to the United States. He started a family and began a career in construction that spanned 30 years. Julian’s work coupled with his joyful nature, allowed him to make friends everywhere he went and from all walks of life. His life presented difficulties and challenges but he made the best out of every situation. There was never a dull moment with Julian. He always had a good time and had an impressive wardrobe ready for any occasion. He enjoyed music, fashion, food, cars, and taking pictures everywhere he went. Julian will be remembered for being a loving father, caring friend, best dressed in the room, hallmark hairstyle and making everyone smile. Beloved Julian is survived by his daughters Marilin, Daisy, A’mira; two grandchildren: Juan Garcia & Gabriella Garcia; and numerous others. Julian nació el 24 de noviembre de 1966 en El Salvador, el menor de 14 hermanos. Desde pequeño Julian fue juguetón, y alegre. En 1985, Julian emigró a los Estados Unidos. Formó una familia y comenzó una carrera en la construcción que duró 30 años. El trabajo de Julian, junto con su naturaleza alegre, le permitió hacer amigos dondequiera que fuera y de todos los ámbitos de la vida. Su vida presentó dificultades y desafíos pero miraba lo mejor de cada situación. Nunca hubo un momento aburrido con Julian. Siempre se lo pasaba bien y tenía un vestuario impresionante listo para cualquier ocasión. Le gustaba la música, la moda, la comida, los automóviles y tomar fotografías dondequiera que fuera. Julian será recordado por ser un padre cariñoso, un amigo cariñoso, el mejor vestido de la sala, su peinado característico y por hacer sonreír a todos. Al querido Julián le sobreviven sus hijas Marilin, Daisy, A’mira; dos nietos: Juan Garcia Jr y Gabriella Garcia; y muchos otros.
